Sarah Jane Estabrooks
Artist
Sarah Jane Estabrooks is the Co-Founder of the amazing 44.4 Mother/Artist Collective! Since gaining her B.A. F.A. in 2000 she has worked solely in the art field. SJ developed and facilitated a renowned art program for those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia at Perely Health, believes strongly in supporting her community through volunteer work (currently sitting as Vice President of the Ottawa Children’s Festival ’22), and has a side hustle as a colour consultant.
SJ is a conceptual and applied artist, using paint, pastels, collage, and textiles. The common thread to all her work is the exploration of colour. Creating artwork that is meaningful, joyous (and sometimes a little cheeky) is at the heart of her practice.
Sarah Jane has shown her work throughout the National Capital Region and is a Mum to two fabbydoo kids.
