Sarah Anderson

Sarah Anderson’s paintings strike a balance between painting as an act of creating a visually impactful artwork and an expression of personal experiences and sentiments. Although there is an aspect of whimsicality and haphazardness to her works, they are deeply influenced by personal experiences, most commonly by themes of family and of challenges attributed to reconciling relationships.
Anderson holds her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa. She is a member of the Enriched Bread Artists (EBA) and has been working out of her studio there since January 2005. Along with exhibiting annually at the EBA Open Studio and the Anniversary Show at Sivarulrasa Gallery, Anderson has exhibited in solo and group shown in the Ottawa region including ‘Let’s Be Alone Together’, a solo show in 2021 at Sivarulrasa Gallery, where she is represented.
Her works can be found in many private and corporate collections in Switzerland, Boston, Toronto, Sault Ste Marie, Quebec City and Ottawa.
