A Mother/Artist Collective

The 44.4 Mother/Artist Collective is a growing group of women artists working on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. Positioned at the intersection of motherhood and art, our collective shares knowledge, supports creative self-actualization, and empowers professional advancement. Together, we advance new conversations and new work.

Current Members

Members of the 44.4 Collective are drawn from different lived experiences, types of training, modes of making a living, and artistic expressions. Some of us have professional or academic training and some of us are self-taught. Some of us make all or part of our income from our art; while some of us have day jobs and make work outside of that time. Some of us are full-time caregivers, some co-parent, and some of us are empty-nesters.
